A MESSAGE TO OUR COMMUNITY

Updated: 19 Mar 2020

Moonah Arts Centre will be closed to the public as of Friday 20 March, 5pm.

Many of you will be wondering how Moonah Arts Centre (MAC) is responding to the threat of novel coronavirus COVID-19.

MAC is acting to protect the health and wellbeing of everyone involved with the centre.

In line with current advice from government and health authorities, changes are being made to MAC’s program of events including exhibitions, workshops and performances. The difficult decision has been made to close the centre to the public until further notice.

We are currently investigating options for presenting aspects of our program online during this time. Due to the changing nature of this situation, please check MAC’s website for updated advice.

Our current visitor advice is as follows.

The Centre:

  • MAC will be closed to the public as of Friday 20 March, 5pm. Staff will still be in the office from Tuesday – Friday and contactable via phone and emails.

Events:

  • Theatre shows have been cancelled until further notice.
  • Friday Nights Live concerts have been cancelled until further notice.
  • We are investigating options for presenting some of our music program online.

Workshops:

  • School holiday workshops at MAC have been cancelled.
  • We are investigating options for offering some of our school holiday workshop program online.

Exhibitions:

  • Exhibitions are not open to the public at this time.
  • Where possible, upcoming exhibitions have been rescheduled to take place in 2021.

Thank you for your understanding and support in this difficult time.
