Register for the school competition!

Glenorchy City Council’s Waste Services department is running a competition for school students in the local community.

As a school or class group, your students are invited to create an artwork in response to the competition theme:
What happens to the food we don’t eat?

All artworks entered will be displayed at the Moonah Arts Centre during July.

A winning work will be selected by Alderman Kristie Johnston, Mayor of Glenorchy, and displayed on the side of Glenorchy City Council’s litter truck!

IMPORTANT DATES:
* Registration form due: Friday 5 April
* Paper dropped off to your school: Friday 3 May
* Completed artwork collected from your school by the
* GCC Waste Education Officer: Friday 28 June
* Exhibition Opening & Winner announced at the Moonah Arts Centre: 11am, Friday 5 July
* Exhibition continues until: Saturday 27 July

GUIDELINES:
* Paper of a specific size will be provided, you must create your artwork on the paper provided
* This is a collaborative art-making activity, that means you are making your artwork as a group
* Entries must be 2D, this may include: painting, drawing, collage, or a photograph of an assemblage (image made from found objects)
* Your artwork must fill the whole space
* Groups are encouraged, but not limited, to use recycled materials.
