Glenorchy City Council’s Waste Services department is running a competition for school students in the local community.

Create an artwork in response to the competition theme:

Sort it out!

When we sort our waste before it goes in the bin, it ends up in the right place.

Glenorchy is moving to a ‘three bin waste collection service’ and is providing all residential properties with a Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) bin and service. That means that each house will have a recycling bin, a FOGO bin, and a general waste bin. It is important to separate all our waste correctly and make sure our bins don’t get contaminated with items that should be in a different bin.

All artworks entered will be displayed by Moonah Arts Centre in an online exhibition. A selection of artworks will be chosen by Alderman Kristie Johnston, Mayor of Glenorchy, and displayed on the side of the Glenorchy City Council’s litter truck!
