MAC welcomes expressions of interest for projects in all artforms from:

MAC Exhibit Your Work

Opportunities for young artists

Moonah Arts Centre has a number of opportunities for young artists to present their art as a part of a solo or group exhibition in March – April 2023. These opportunities are open to artists aged 25 and under who live in, attend school in, or have a strong connection to Glenorchy.

Solo exhibition 

Do you have a completed body of work or large singular work ready for presentation? Apply for a solo exhibition at Moonah Arts Centre! Applications close Tuesday 28 February 2023.

Glenorchy Youth Open

You are invited to enter an artwork for inclusion in the Glenorchy Youth Open! This exhibition celebrates the creativity of our younger community members. Entries can be in any medium including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography, ceramics, textiles, digital media and more.

Exhibit

MAC welcomes exhibition proposals from artists, curators, groups and organisations.

Applications for the Exhibit Space and Project Space are accepted in June and July each year, for exhibitions taking place in the following year. Applications for MAC’s smaller exhibition spaces are open year-round through a quick response application.

Perform

MAC welcomes performance proposals from performers, musicians, theatre companies, film makers, groups and organisations.

MAC’s Performance Screen Studio is a highly versatile space that can be reconfigured depending on the type of event being staged. Applications for performances are accepted year-round; however, the earlier you book, the more likely you are to secure all the dates required for your sessions.

It will be your responsibility to manage bookings and ticketing for your performance.

MAC welcomes workshop proposals from artists, performers, groups, organisations and more.

The Makers Workshop is a great venue for one-off workshops and workshop series.

It will be your responsibility to manage bookings and ticketing for your workshop.

Partnerships

Activities that align very strongly with MAC’s guiding principles may be considered for a partnership. If you believe that your activity is a good fit for a partnership with MAC, please contact us to discuss.

Other Activities

MAC’s Makers Workshop, Meeting Room and social spaces can also be hired for activities that are not arts related. Please complete the online booking enquiry form if you are interested in hiring any of MAC’s spaces.
