General applications for MAC’s 2024 Visual Arts Program are now closed. Applications for our 2025 program will open in June 2024.
There are currently limited opportunities available in the second half of 2024 for exhibitions in our smaller and alternate exhibition spaces (Avago Window Gallery, Albert Hallway, Courtyard, Shard, and The Chamber). Applications are open year round through our Quick Response Application form. Applications are assessed on a monthly basis. Please submit your application at least one month in advance of your preferred exhibition dates. Please note that your preferred space and dates are subject to availability.
The Glenorchy Youth Open art exhibition will return to Moonah Arts Centre in 2024! Artists aged 25 and under who live in, attend school in, or have a strong connection to Glenorchy, are invited to enter an artwork for inclusion in the exhibition. This exhibition celebrates the creativity of our younger community members.
Entries can be in any medium including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography, ceramics, textiles, digital media and more!
One artwork per person only.
All entries go into the draw to win a $100 voucher for adArt Art Supplies.

Our beloved Moonah Sounds of the World (MSOTW) Concert Series and Harmony Day event will be returning to MAC in 2024! We are looking for applications from performers to be part of these events and help us celebrate traditional and contemporary representations of culture in Tasmania.
Performers will be engaged via a partnership agreement with MAC, offering a guaranteed artist fee to perform at a selected event in the series program.
MAC provides professional audio mixing, lighting operation and front of house staff. Limited backline is available on request.
We highly encourage communities or individuals representing cultural diasporas to apply.

Moonah Makers Market will showcase the creativity of our community. Artists, makers and designers who live, work, or have a strong connection to Glenorchy (see map) can apply for a market stall at the Moonah Makers Market. All items for sale at the Moonah Makers Market must be made and/or designed by you. Please note: There is no fee for stallholders, however limited spaces are available and will be allocated to ensure a diverse range of stalls are represented on the day.

Moonah Arts Centre is looking for artists/art tutors to share their skills, knowledge and love of the arts through creative workshops in our purpose-built spaces.
We are seeking tutors interested in running one-off workshops and workshop series, across all art forms including visual arts, music and performance.
