MAC’s program provides ongoing opportunities for artists and local communities to share their art, performances and skills.

General applications for MAC’s 2024 Visual Arts Program are now closed. Applications for our 2025 program will open in June 2024.

However, there are limited opportunities available in the second half of 2024 for exhibitions in our smaller exhibition spaces.

Glenorchy Youth Open Art Exhibition

The Glenorchy Youth Open art exhibition will return to Moonah Arts Centre in 2024! Artists aged 25 and under who live in, attend school in, or have a strong connection to Glenorchy, are invited to enter an artwork for inclusion in the exhibition. This exhibition celebrates the creativity of our younger community members.

Entries can be in any medium including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography, ceramics, textiles, digital media and more!

One artwork per person only.

All entries go into the draw to win a $100 voucher for adArt Art Supplies.


Deliver your artwork and completed entry form to Moonah Arts Centre: 3 – 5 April 2024, 10am-5pm
Exhibition dates: 12 April – 4 May 2024



Young Artist Solo Exhibitions

Moonah Arts Centre has a number of opportunities for young artists to present a solo exhibition of their art at Moonah Arts Centre.

To apply, artists must:

  • be aged 25 or under
  • live in, attend school in, or have a strong connection to the City of Glenorchy
    The City of Glenorchy includes Austins Ferry, Berriedale, Chigwell, Claremont, Collinsvale, Derwent Park, Dowsing Point, Glenorchy, Glenlusk, Goodwood, Granton, Lutana, Montrose, Moonah, Rosetta and West Moonah.
  • have a completed body of work or large singular work ready for presentation.

There are limited opportunities available. Successful artists will be selected by Moonah Arts Centre’s curatorial team.

Applications close: Tuesday 27 February 2024

Successful applicants notified: Thursday 29 February 2024

Exhibition dates: 12 April – 4 May 2024




Moonah Arts Centre is always on the lookout for talented artists/art tutors to share their skills, knowledge and love of the arts through creative workshops.

Applications are open year round and are reviewed on a monthly basis.



We are seeking tutors to run school holiday workshops (Autumn, Winter and Spring), term classes and one-off classes, across all art forms including visual arts, music and performance.
