Performance Studio

At 17.6 metres by 9.6 metres the Performance Studio is the largest and most flexible of MAC’s spaces. There is no fixed staging and no permanent seating banks.

The space is equipped to support everything from a disco, small film festival, community Q&A, training seminar or an intimate music concert.

A default end staging configuration can seat up to 130 people.

An unseated informal musical event, opening onto the foyer and internal courtyard could cater for up to 300 people.

The space can operate in natural daylight or full black out. The Studio has an in-house audio system, full LED stage lighting across a ceiling grid, and projection capacity. Full technical specifications available on request by contacting the venue manager Hamish Stevenson.

Changes to staging, tiered seating and the retractable wall to the foyer can only be done a MAC staff member.

We recommend booking a MAC Duty Technician for events with audio-visual requirements.
