The Cygnet Cello Choir, led by Georgia Shine and joined by special guests, invite you to an evening full of joy, wonder, and just a little bit of weirdness.

This celebration of sound will feature 12 female cellists of all ages playing a mixture of classical, folk, and contemporary music, from Mozart and Handel to Bartok, Sigurbjörnsson and Casals, to spoken word and contemporary dance, to improvised cello chorus and who knows what else!

Come to the Moonah Arts Centre and see what happens when you mix a community cello choir with an actor, a dancer, and some amazing local talent.

LGBTQIA+ Youth Empowerment Workshops

Join trans, non-binary performance artist HK Vermeulen for a series of workshops for LGBTQIA+ youth aged 14-18. Workshops focus on themes of finding your voice, empowering yourself and others and connecting to Queer community. These monthly workshops will see participants discussing issues that are important to them, learning makeup and performance techniques and movement. There will also be craft activities and space for discussions on Queerness, identity and the challenges faced by LGTBQIA+ youth.

All workshops take place at Moonah Arts Centre, 5pm-6.30pm, apart from the workshop December 12, which go till 7.30pm to accommodate an end of year celebration.

William Crighton Solo with special guest Beans on Toast

The last two years have seen Australian artist William Crighton win an ARIA,
support Midnight Oil on their final tour both in Australia and Europe, play his
first Glastonbury as well as release his third album “Water and Dust”. Crighton
is one of Australia’s new generation of story tellers, his music soaked in the
essence of this country.

He is joined by his good mate UK folk singer “Beans on Toast”. The pair met at
the UK festival “Boomtown” in 2018 and have toured together on and off since,
supporting each others home country shows. Beans on Toast is a folk hero in
the UK, played Glastonbury 15 time, released 15 albums. He’s a hippy, a punk, a
poet, a drunk, a die-hard romantic and an eternal optimist.
This show is not to be missed.
