Experiment with the fun and exciting process of Gelli plate printing to create intriguing and beautiful landscape artworks. Gelli plate printing doesn’t require the use of a printing press, instead ink is rolled onto the Gelli plate, found objects like leaves and flowers can then be laid on top, then a piece of paper is placed over the top and rubbed to transfer the image. The process can be repeated in multiple layers and colours to create depth and detail in the final artwork. The prints created will be a perfect size for making cards or to frame and hang on the wall. Participants will first explore landscape artworks in MAC’s Somewhere here exhibition to get inspiration for creating their own artworks. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
