‘Art of Place’
6 FREE workshops at MAC
EXPLORE YOUR LOCAL NEIGHBOURHOOD VIA SITE-SPECIFIC ART!
We will explore:
• ‘Walking as art’
• Experimental photography
• Written and performed text
• Perceptions and experiences of Hobart’s northern suburbs
FREE 6-week workshop series for adult (18+) residents of Moonah & Glenorchy
Tuesdays 10am – 12 midday, Nov 10th – Dec 15th 2015
The Makers Workshop, Moonah Arts Centre
Bring your own camera if you have one (otherwise you can use ours) and comfortable walking shoes and clothes.
You don’t have to be an artist, just keen to explore art and place!
Artist/ researcher Gretel Taylor will introduce participants to site-specific art, which is art made from and about a particular place. We will go on short walks around Moonah to take photos, write text and explore our sense of place in other creative ways. The art we make will be put together to present in the window gallery at MAC.
The workshops are free of charge but please book!
Bookings & more info: Gretel: Ph. 0425 759 988 or [email protected]
