Join artists Maggie May Jeffries and Alex Moss for insights into their creative practices and collaborative process, as well as a live demonstration of expanded painting!

The Weather at Midnight is an exploration of expanded painting and the intricacies of sensory experience through an interactive audio-visual installation.

Maggie May Jeffries’ paintings investigate how the edges of environments intersect with memory. A childlike curiosity about plants and their intricate details is central to her practice, grounding her in the remembered gardens and bushland of her childhood, while continuing to spark a connection to new sites of growth she encounters.

Alex Moss’s practice centres on transforming spaces, performances and static objects through projected light, sound design and interactive elements. Through his work and collaborations, he seeks to engage the senses, encourage discovery and challenge perceptions of reality.

Entry to the galleries is free.
