Bridal Sedan Chair is a commemorative installation for people who fight for gender equality and seek justice for gender-based discrimination. A bridal sedan chair is traditional type of transportation, particularly used in traditional Chinese wedding ceremonies. This interactive artwork, and the invitation for any woman-identifying person (or anyone at all) to sit in it, has been created to challenge the traditional symbolism of this object.
