Event Details

Moonah Community Radio is a Project by Sisters Akousmatica and Moonah Arts Centre.

From 21 Nov – 14 Dec 2019, radio queens Sisters Akousmatica will inhabit the Moonah Arts Centre courtyard with their custom transmission vehicle.

They invite YOU to broadcast the sounds of Moonah with them: your voices, your stories, your sounds, your airwaves, your community.

Would your community group, school or organisation like to be involved? No skill or experience is necessary.

You can sign up to one of the AIRWAVES workshops by emailing [email protected]

The workshops will take place in October and November 2019 and will be structured according to the skill level and needs of your group. Please nominate if you would like to:

  • Develop the skills to present your own radio show live-to-air (this includes interviewing, presenting live sound, or talk radio)
  • Develop the skills to make your own radio program for pre-recording.
  • Have Sisters Akousmatica lead your group through exercises to create content which will be made into a program for you.

OR

If you already have the skills within your group or organisation to create a program, present an interview or simply wish to share your story, and want to be involved email us [email protected]
