God jumped out of my spoon and into my neighbours eye is where Naomi Roza translates common scenes in playful and bold abstract paintings, reassembling them in hand built ceramic discs utilising the key components that feel all too much like home. She is manufacturing a new understanding and connection to her old haunt. Moonah’s suburban industrial landscape brought forward with infectious wonder. It’s everyday anthropomorphising to grow belonging and seeing the divine in the greater whole.

Naomi Roza is a multidisciplinary artist born in Lutruwita/Tasmania. Naomi’s work is devoted to oddities, capturing moments to create vibrant abstract painting and sculpture.
