Opening 6pm Thurs 3 May
Exhibition runs Fri 4 May – Sat 26 May
Original and distinctive, Jindra Vitesnik’s drawings and paintings provide playful perspectives on life and the world.
Born in 1948, in what was then Czechoslovakia, Jindra moved to Australia with her parents when she was 20 years old. She worked in Hobart’s Botanic Gardens for the next 30 years, only discovering art making in her late 50’s.
Jindra’s art making is extensive and prolific. Her eclectic array of subjects often include flowers, plants, children, animals and wonderfully eccentric characters.
Jindra has shown her work in exhibitions coordinated by Mosaic, where she attends during the week. Jindra is supported in a group home by Oak/Possability.
