Event Details
Rust holds memories of the past and disintegrates into the future. This body of work reflects on time, place, memory, decay and regeneration. Janet Fenton explores documented history and legend, the shape of the present, and her personal response to a lifelong connection with Melaleuca in Southwest Tasmania. There, rusting mining machinery is gradually merging into the present living landscape. In this body of work, patina from this rust has been collaged into the artist’s mixed media images.
