Event Details
Kindred is a series of collaborative arts projects, which centre the practices of Aboriginal and culturally diverse artists and practitioners from across the island of lutruwita/Tasmania.
Join Eri as she shares her culture through taking you to traditional Japan. In this workshop you will learn Bon-odori, Japanese traditional community dance that is often danced at summer festivals across the country. You will also be invited to experience the ‘Japanese Body’ which is the key to dance Bon-odori.
Saturday 5th March, 12.30pm – 1.30pm
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a drink bottle. It is a requirement of Moonah Arts Centre to be fully vaccinated before entering the site. Please be ready to show evidence of your vaccination status.
