Event Details
Opening Thurs 11 Apr, 6pm
Exhibition runs Fri 12 Apr – Sat 4 May
Open Tuesday – Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday 11am – 3pm
Making showcases the dynamic practices of four diverse ceramicists who work collectively in Glenorchy.
Margot Butler, Alice Hutchison, Anthea Rogerson and Lisa Wise represent inter-generational perspectives in the contemporary art-craft culture of Tasmania.
Each artist’s practice is deeply rooted in handmade sculptural and functional ceramics. Their work navigates personal narratives of the natural landscape, current sociological questions and intimate spaces. Evident in all their work is a shared passion for their studio – the site of their creative making process.
The exhibition Making is displayed in conjunction with the Australian Ceramics Triennale Holding Space Making Place, taking place in Hobart 1 – 4 May 2019.
