Come and spend a fun day with Deb and Helen creating an artwork to hang on your wall using a range of recycled fabrics and yarns, natural fibres and assorted bits and pieces!

You will spend the morning learning how to make a simple loom (rectangular or circular) from everyday materials, and mastering different weaving techniques such as tabby (plain), twill, twining, pile (loop), rya knots, making checkerboards, stripes or geometric patterns and options for finishing off and hanging your weave. The afternoon is then free to create an arty wall hanging using your handmade loom and choice of the techniques practised in the morning.

A variety of materials will be provided for your use and plenty of support given to design and create your own unique wall hanging.
