Join Deb and Helen from ReCreate to learn how to make simply beautiful coiled mats and baskets from a variety of recycled and re-purposed materials.

This workshop (timed especially for parents needing to get away for school pick-up) will inspire you to think outside the square when sourcing and creating inexpensive weaving materials from old t-shirts, scraps of fabric, plastic bags and other stuff you probably have stashed away! Using a variety of weaving materials you will learn simple techniques to weave and embellish a unique basket to take home. A range of materials will be provided for your use and plenty of support given to design and weave your own creation.

Please feel free to bring along a favourite old t-shirt or special remnant of fabric from your stash, however we will have plenty available to share. Morning tea included. Please BYO lunch. We look forward to “ReCreating” with you!
