This event will take place on stolen Palawa land. We pay respect to past, present and emerging Tasmanian Aboriginal communities in their unending quest for sovereignty.
Join us at MAC for the second Sonic of 2019. A night of improvised music, drinks, and community.
We are excited to have Jim Denley and Amanda Stewart joining us from Sydney, playing alongside local experimental artists.
Doors 7pm / Music 7.30pm $15 adult $10 concession online or on the door.
There is also a workshop on improvisation being run during the day by Jim Denley and Amanda Stewart 1 pm – 2:30 pm more details here>>
Performing artists:
180º is Nick Ashwood (acoustic guitar), Jim Denley (bass flute) and Amanda Stewart (voice and text). They have recorded in the studio twice over the last 6 months – soon to be released as a CD.

Tim Panaretos + TBA Improvised 6-string Greek bouzouki, both with and without electricity. Influenced by rebetiko (early 20th Century Greek blues) but not sounding like it in any purist sense. The rest is free improv, free/psych folk, American primitive, drone, noise, etc, etc.
