Exhibition Launch: Thursday 10 April, 5.30pm, All welcome

I love nature and I am happiest in the forest. My art is about both me and the animals that call the forest home. I try to tell each animal’s story from their point of view, but at the same time, I’m drawing the world around me, from my perspective. I believe both the animals and I have wild hearts and neither belong in a city surrounded by concrete. We’d prefer to be in the forest surrounded by trees, fungi and other forest dwelling animals.

Gracie Kuylaars is an environmental activist, poet and artist. She has always loved nature, and for the past three years has been involved in Citizen Science projects with the Bob Brown Foundation. Gracie has learnt about many awesome animals, she especially loves Tasmanian Masked Owls, so she started drawing them. She now draws a variety of native fauna and their ecosystems.
