Winter Solstice Group Meditation
1pm Saturday 20 June and 11am Sunday 21 June
SOLD OUT!
New sessions added:
10am Saturday 20 June and 2pm Sunday 21 June
A ceremony to recalibrate and reset, using traditional and contemporary healing practices, sound and meditation
with
Ash Ó Di Bhar – Cross Disciplinary Artist and Practitioner, merging sound therapy, sound arts and spiritual practice.
Ōriwa Clark – Mauri Practitioner, honouring Māori practices and fostering connection, resilience and collective healing.
Alexandra Williams – Practitioner and Seasonal Alignment Facilitator, with a background in Zen Shiatsu, Japanese healing arts and energy rebalancing.
Step into a warm, welcoming space to be guided by three experienced presenters, combining their various practices to help you slow down, unwind, restore energy and recalibrate during winter.
The meditation begins with a contemporary Māori welcome, before participants are gently guided to find a space and set up with cushioned mat, pillow and blanket.
Ash, Ōriwa and Alexandra will lead the group through a meditation informed by ancestral Māori vocal incantations, sound therapy, multi-instrumental live sound performance, seasonal alignment techniques and Japanese healing arts. At the completion of the session, participants will be served tea and invited to debrief with hot cacao (optional), made using coconut milk, agave sweetener and Samoan cacao.
All participants will be provided with mat, blanket and pillow, but please feel welcome to bring your own from home if preferred.
This event is designed for adults, but if there is a young person interested in attending, please contact Moonah Arts Centre to arrange (details below).
