School Holiday Programs

Keep young minds and hands busy during the school holidays at MAC and nurture your child’s creativity and love for performance and visual arts.

Each school holidays, kids from pre-school, primary and secondary school can choose from a variety of workshops, such as screen printing, spray painting, circus skills, music, illustration, drama and more.

Have you ever wondered how to make superheroes and villains look super-strong? In this workshop, students learn how to draw convincing muscles to make their superhero drawing look truly super!

Workshop: Drawing Animals with artist Yilian Basser

Learn to draw realistic furry and feathered friends. Learn about animal anatomy, how to draw glossy eyeballs and noses, and render realistic fur and feathers.

Workshop: A Dose of Dancing with  Isabella Stone from Drill Performance Company.

A dose of dancing is a creative dance workshop for any young person interested in movement and dancing!

DRILL’s artistic director, Isabella Stone, will introduce you to contemporary dance practice in technique, improvisation and choreography.  You will play games, learn movement from professional dance artists, experience the free space of improvisation and be guided through the process of making your very own choreography.

No previous dance experience is required – we will have options for young people at all stages of their dance journey.

Just bring your imagination, curiosity and desire to move and we’ll facilitate the rest!

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a packed lunch, snacks and water bottle.

Workshop: Hidden House of Puppets with Terrapin and Theatre Royal

Terrapin and Theatre Royal welcome you to this fun, surprising and inventive object theatre workshop that reveals the puppets hiding in your kitchen, bathroom and home office! Led by the cast of Scaredy Cat, participants are invited to bring an object from home (or work with one that is supplied), and transform this everyday household item into a superstar secret celebrity of the domestic world!

This workshop is suited for Ages 8-14

Please bring your own water bottle.
