Experience a new journey learning the beautiful art of Arabic Calligraphy with Pakistani born artist Halima Bhatti. Halima’s artworks reflect the deep connections and sacred knowledge of her culture through this ancient artform.
Participants will learn the skills to write their name in Arabic and create a small artwork to take home. Guided by Halima, explore the unique modulations of this cultural art form through pictograms, strokes and lettering and embrace the mindfulness of this ancient art.

Come and try Circus! Try your hand at juggling, tumbling, hula hooping and group acrobatics with artists from ROOKE. This workshop is for young people aged 8-12 with interests in moving their bodies and being creative. Accompanying adults are welcome to stay and watch. Places are strictly limited, please book early!

Learn techniques and approaches for painting realistic landscapes using acrylic paint in this hands-on workshop with artist Rebecca Holmes.
Participants will learn practical skills including colour mixing, brush techniques, composition, layering and much more, in the process of creating a single landscape painting of their own.
This workshop is recommended for young people with a passion for art and an interest in developing their technical painting skills.

Captain Limebeard, along with his trusty parrot, Lemon, seek to find the legendary Emerald Compass! The compass is said to lead those who seek it to an extraordinary amount of hidden treasure. But, Captain Limebeard’s evil first mate, Bitters, and Bitters’ lackeys, Soda and Pop, want to find it first so they can find the treasure and use it for their own nefarious purpose. Captain Limebeard must enlist the help of seasoned adventurers, Scorch and River, to find the Emerald Compass before Bitters can get to it first.

Are you a fan of Wallace and Gromit or Shawn the Sheep? Ever wanted to make your own movie in that style but didn’t know where to start? Now’s your chance! Working in groups, participants write scripts, create plasticine characters, sets, and props, animate their movies frame by frame and even record voices. Upon completion students will be emailed a link to their short films.
